In yesterday’s published webinar, “Email Real-Time Content Testing and Optimization” from 8seconds and Silverpop, Pieter from 8seconds has also shown some very good examples of killer buttons, that increased conversion rates significantly.

The key takeaways are:

  • Colour matters – green, orange and yellow buttons convert very well, however the only way to find out is with A/B split testing
  • Your calls to action should be specific, i.e. what your visitors get when they click on it, for example: see the demo, see plans and pricing etc, click here to subscribe.
  • Adding a simple arrow “>” in the call to to action can increase your conversion rate by more than 20%. See the examples below.
