or Free Twitter Application to Help You be More in Control
Without a doubt there are plenty of applications for Twitter, but this one from HootSuite is FREE, and helps you to manage your Twitter account very efficiently. I started using this Twitter application only a week ago, but found it especially useful as it’s really easy to monitor & manage all your Twitter accounts.
HootSuite is an online based Twitter monitoring and managing tool. In one window you can easily monitor your home feeds, track your tweets and how many times they have been re-tweeted, monitor Twitter for by you selected keywords, monitor your direct message (DM) inbox. Plus as I mentioned, you can manage all your Twitter accounts.
It’s tremendously easy to use with a very good layout as you can see on the screenshot below. Also it takes only several minutes to set it up and customize it. I can recommend it to anyone who is either not happy with their current Twitter monitoring tool or would just like to be more in control with Twitter.

You might want to check out this new application too. It’s called http://NavCaster.com and supports Twitter, Facebook, and ANY other site that works with Internet Explorer. It is a new paradigm in social network browsers as the owner (me) dislikes the applications that obfuscate perfectly good website experiences and condense them into unusable forms. So, I create http://NavCaster.com for other people that want an alternate approach and made it highly secure in that I did not like giving my ids and passwords to any other applications. NavCaster does NOT need nor require your login ids for any site and you interact with each site as you would normally, however it wraps a time based web scanner and convenient interface around your favorite sites.
